We wanted Kadroodle’s website to reflect the joyful, lively, and creative spirit of its owner-proprietor, Kathryn Bass, a freelance writer and poet. Fortunately, our discussions about the look of the website coincided with the blooming of Kathryn’s unruly sunflower garden, and a single, scanned flower became the central image of the website. The image is a good representative for Kadroodle -- and for Kathryn: The flower’s simple, beautiful shape is made up of complex elements; its sunny face represents a playful sense of humor; and the weedy, wild nature of the flower stands for bounty and generosity of spirit.
